Meet Andrew and Dee Knife
We have been married for 12 years. We live in Ethiopia and have done for the last three years. We have felt called to mission since before we were married and three years ago we felt it was Gods timing to step out in faith and do what was on our hearts to do, to move to Ethiopia for 1 year and see what God would do from there. We have both completed Bible College courses, Andrew a Diploma and Deanne a Certificate, and have been involved in Church life for a number of years, serving in just about every area of our home Church, Dream Centre Christian Church, on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
God spent many years preparing our hearts and our lives for the service He has called us to. We have felt so blessed to have a supportive Church who believe in training people for service and preparing them by action. When we left for Ethiopia, we were sent out to fulfill God’s call on our lives and to be obedient to His leading.
We left in June 2006 with our then two children, Lydia and Joshua, and now are the proud parents of 5 wonderful kids, Sara (15), Lydia (11), Joshua (9), Berhani and Mekonnen (3). We feel so blessed to be a part of what is happening at Grace and look forward to where the future takes us. It has been an exciting journey so far and continues to be more and more so with every day.
