Volunteers, teams and Staff

The Grace Centre for Children and Families, in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia is unable to provide all the services you see on these web-pages without the tireless efforts of our volunteers, short term mission teams who visit regularly and carry out specific project work, and our committed Grace Staff. If you have2 weeks or 2 years we will be happy to hear from you. Your specific skills and abilities can be used in a variety of different ways in the current project areas.

Short Term Teams [application form]

Throughout the year we have groups of around 8 adults come to our Centre in Ethiopia to help us with specific projects, repairs and outreach.

The type of work carried out varies from trip to trip and the jobs we do there are very much controlled by the skills of the people on the trip. The work can range from building fences, painting, helping out with the new babies, to teaching at the daycare or tutoring sponsor children. Where ever possible we work with local people as well as our volunteers. Teaming up to transfer skills and build good relationships with our local community is a wonderful outreach opportunity.

The cost of the trip which usually lasts for about 3 weeks includes your travel, accommodation, in-country transport and most meals.

International Volunteers [application form]
